Huang Shiling is a great master of the founding school in the late Qing Dynasty.He created the "Yishan school" with his unique Indian style,which had a profound impact on later generations.In recent years,the study of Huang Shiling is mostly limited to its seal cutting style and way,ignoring the value of its calligraphy.Therefore,this paper will focus on Huang Shiling's calligraphy,in order to correct the value of its calligraphy.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the calligraphy,calligraphy style and the causes of the formation of the calligraphy style of Huang Shiling.By combing and summarizing the materials and combining with the creation practice,this paper tries to restore the historical reality.First of all,from the social point of view,the social environment and the calligraphy environment at that time as the starting point,through the investigation of its different time,different place and its life track,to see its impact on the calligraphy style.Secondly,by analyzing Huang Shiling's calligraphy works of different styles,this paper investigates its origin and learning,summarizes his aesthetic and creative ideas,and analyzes Huang Shiling's traditional learning methods.Thirdly,taking time as a clue,this paper makes a horizontal comparison between the seal cutting works and calligraphy works in different periods of Huang Shiling's life to prove their high consistency.I hope to study the real status of Huang Shiling in the field of calligraphy and printing,restore the authenticity of history,and decrypt how Huang Shiling formed its own unique style of calligraphy and seal cutting in that era.
