The Relationship Between Social Support And Prosocial Behavior Of College Students

Generally speaking,prosocial behavior refers to the behavior of donation,cooperation,comfort,sharing,or even sacrificing one's own interests for the benefit of others,which contributes to social stability and harmony.In this study,the relationship among social support,sense of meaning of life and prosocial behavior of college students was discussed by means of questionnaire survey and initiation experiment.Research is a with the method of questionnaire survey to explore college students' sense of social support,life meaning and pro-social behavior,the results showed:(1)the college students' social support in gender,whether or not the only,if there is a internship experience,professional choice,professional outlook,employment outlook,parents expect significant differences and learning pressure;(2)college students' sense of meaning in life has significant differences in internship experience,professional prospects,employment prospects and parents' expectations;(3)there are significant differences in college students' pro-social behaviors in the aspects of only-child,major choice,major prospect prediction,employment prospect prediction and study pressure.(4)college students' social support has a significant positive correlation with their sense of meaning in life,and college students' social support has a significant predictive effect on their sense of meaning in life.(5)college students' sense of meaning in life has a significant positive correlation with prosocial behavior,and college students' sense of meaning in life has a significant predictive effect on prosocial behavior.(6)college students' social support has a significant positive correlation with prosocial behavior,and college students' social support has a significant predictive effect on prosocial behavior;(7)college students' sense of meaning in life plays a partial intermediary role between social support and prosocial behavior.The second study is to explore the relation between college student social support,sense of meaning in life and prosocial behavior of college students by means of priming experiment.The results show that sense of meaning of life plays a partial intermediary role between social support and prosocial behavior of college students.Conclusion: Sense of meaning plays a partial intermediary role between social support and prosocial behavior.
