The Research Of Chinese Ancient Paper Documents

The definition of Chinese Ancient Paper Documents are the Chinese ancient special books and articles before the Qing Dynasty which involve the information of the names of ancient papers,their naming principles,geographic distribution and paper-making technology.The books and articles involving scattered ancient paper records before the Song Dynasty and those praising poems about ancient papers are not in the range of this study.In this paper,fourteen Chinese Ancient Paper Documents are collected and analyzed.In addition to the introduction,there are three parts as follows:The first part is the introduction of the authors' life,their works,and review of academic research.The second part is to extract and summarize the records related to the Chinese ancient paper names,distribution of ancient papers and the paper-making technology.The naming methods,the distribution of ancient papers and the processes of paper-making are discussed.The third part is to excavate the historical value,the scientific and technical value,and humanistic and artistic value contained in Chinese Ancient Paper Documents.It is found that among the 14 Chinese Ancient Paper Documents,there are 158 ancient paper names,5 paper naming methods,18 ancient paper-making processes,and 51 main ancient paper producing areas which are concentrated in Sichuan,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui regions.The Chinese Ancient Paper Documents condenses the toil and wisdom of the ancient working people.The Chinese Ancient Paper Documents have a high historical status and researching value.Research the Chinese Ancient Paper Documents is helpful to inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese paper culture.It is helpful to the vigorous development of the cause of ancient book protection in China.It is helpful to enhance the confidence of Chinese national culture.
