Recent years, facing of increasing environmental pollution,there is a rising trends which advocates traditional lifestyles and encourage people to return to the manual mode of production.People started to focus on the advantages of traditional crafts in environmental protection. However, in China, although there is a huge number of various types of arts and crafts, but a large part of them is rapidly vanishing.The work of heritage must be carried on as soon as possible.The theme of this paper is "Achieving sustainable development of traditional crafts",and Nanzhang ancient paper is taken as an example.A in-depth field research is conducted in order to know the details of its through in-depth field research, historical context, technology systems, core value and the surrounding cultural space.Then, according to the contemporary market characteristics and experience of success cases, the paper put forward feasible ways of heritaging Nanzhang ancient paper.
