This practice report is based on the author's interpreting practice in an educational program,One World One Classroom?OWOC?,from July 14thh to 24th,2019,during which the author did interpretation between Chinese and English.The author chose three interpreting cases from this assignment as materials to analyze challenges and possible coping methods,under the guidance of Skopos Theory.Based on Register Theory,the speeches in the three interpreting cases are categorized into formal,consultative and casual registers respectively.In each case analysis,the author first describes the interpreting task and then analyzes at both macro and micro levels.At the macro level,the author analyzes the speaker's general skopos and the register of the source text,and then comes up with the general interpreting strategy for the task.At the micro level,the author analyzes the micro skopos of specific sentences and paragraphs,compares her original interpretation and the revised version,and summarizes specific coping methods.The author hopes the discussions and the specific coping methods could provide inspiration and reference for other trainee interpreters.
