The “China-CEEC ‘16+1'Cooperation Mechanism” and the “Belt and Road Initiative” have brought many opportunities to China and the world.Poland,with lots of promising industries,enjoys an advantageous geographical location and abundant natural resources among the 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe,therefore,the author chooses Polish Economy as the source text of this translation practice.This book introduces 15 promising industries in Poland nowadays,and the author selects introduction and 7 industries from this book to analyze.In this translation report,the author firstly recommends the background,significance and process of the translation task.Then,main content and the type of the source text are analyzed;next,the author illustrates Vermeer's Skopos Theory and problems occurring during the translation;the author mainly discusses these problems from two aspects: vocabulary and sentence.The case study under the guidance of Skopos Theory shows that the translator overcomes difficulties with related translation methods.These methods include transliteration,free translation,conversion,amplification as well as reconstruction.Each method is illustrated by an example.At last,the author concludes lessons learned from this translation practice and problems needed to be solved.Through this translation practice,the author not only improves her translation ability,but also has a better understanding of translation work.Meanwhile,the author hopes this report can offer some reference value for other translators who translate similar type of text.
