The Literary Creation And Activities Of Shan Shili

Shan Shili who has both the imprints of traditional Chinese ladies and the characteristics of new times women is an outstanding representative of talented women in the late Qing Dynasty which reflects the contradictory side of the combination of tradition and modernity.Shan Shili is immersed and nurtured by three cultural families,the mother Haining Xu family,the father Xiaoshan Shan family and her husband WuXing Qian family,in her whole life whereas she plays a vital character in the continuation and inheritance of the family.Under the influence of her husband’s,Qian Xun,social status and interpersonal relationship,most of her friends are the celebrities’ wives and foreign women who have formed a friend network with Shan Shili’s family for her completely social circle.Shou Zi Shi Shi Gao with four editions existing in the world now is a poem creation work of Shan Shili.The author is to examine the serialization of these books,the content difference and value meaning of these versions,and then comprehensively analyze the content and artistic achievements of the poems so as to explore the characteristics of her poetry much more completely.Gui Mao Lv Xing Ji and Gui Qian Ji are Shan Shili’s prose creation works that are what she saw,heard,thought,and felt with her husband going abroad in her middle age and are also the main manifestation of her characteristics as a new times woman in which her new ideas possess unique writing art and value significance influenced by Qian Xun,Qian Daosun and Xiatian Gezi.In the later time of her life,Shan Shili returns to set about the compilation of traditional female’s literary works represented by Yi Fan Wen Jian Lu,Qing Gui Xiu Zheng Shi Zai Xu Ji and Qing Gui Xiu Yi Wen Lu among which the latter two possess a number of versions with rich contents that are indispensable materials for the study of female literature of Qing Dynasty.
