The Animal Image In Chinese Children’s Picture Books Since The New Period

This paper takes the animal image in the domestic children’s picture book from1978 to 2018 as the research object,widely collects the children’s picture books since the new period,and uses the historical combing,the text reading method and the cultural poetics perspective to examine the characteristics and evolution of animal image in the picture book,and explore the development of social animal views and children’s views,and interpret the discourse power between adults,children and animals behind the image.The main part includes three chapters: The first chapter traces the history of children’s picture books,examines the development of anthropomorphic animal images in modern Chinese children’s literature,and explores the characteristics and functions of animal images in picture stories.The second chapter discusses the characteristics of the animal image in the picture stories from1978 to 2000,focus on the animal narration oriented by ecological ethics in the new period,and analyze the visual expression of the animal image.The third chapter starts from the context of consumer culture to investigate the shaping and evolution of animal images in the picture books since the 21 st century.The main focus is on the "super-real" characteristics of the anthropomorphic animal image,the relationship between pets and human,and the realistic style of animal image visual representation.
