Chinese and Indonesian are two languages belonging to different language families.Chinese belongs to sino-tibetan language family and Indonesian belongs to malay-polynesian language family.Color words are an important part of Chinese and Indonesian vocabulary system.They are not only people’s color description of various things in the real world,but also record each nation’s view and evaluation of the real world as well as accumulated labor experience and cultural information.In this paper,based on the theory of the linguistic world vision,eight basic color words in Chinese and Indonesian as the research object,through the contrast analysis of Chinese and Indonesian basic cultural connotation of color words,show the similarities and differences of characteristics in China and Indonesia two ethnic groups in the political orientation,social development,hierarchical,religious beliefs,aesthetic taste and national psychology,etc;The paper also analyzes and discusses the factors affecting the similarities and differences betwee the basic color words linguistic world vision of the two ethnic groups,so as to help Indonesian students deepen their understanding of Chinese culture.Combining the questionnaire to understand the Indonesian students grasp the basic color words,sum up types of errors,analyzes the reasons of errors,put forward concrete suggestions on teaching Chinese color words,help Indonesian students better understand the culture of Chinese color words contain content,improve the understanding and use of color words in Chinese ability,promote the exchange of communication smoothly.The research content of this paper is mainly divided into three parts:Part one: the linguistic world vision of basic color words in Chinese and Indonesia.This part mainly elaborates the cultural meanings embodied by the basic color words of the two nationalities,and then makes a comparative summary.It is found that the language world vision of basic color words in Chinese and Indonesia embodied by the basic color words of the two nationalities has both similarities and national characteristics.Part two: the influence factors of the similarities and differences between thelinguistic world vision of basic color words in Chinese and Indonesia.This part mainly analyzes the similarities and differences between the linguistic world vision of the basic color words in Chinese and Indonesia from the aspects of political orientation,religious belief,social development,geographical environment and customs of the two nations.Part three: investigate and analyze the Indonesian students’ mastery of basic color words in Chinese.This part mainly summarizes the personal information of Indonesian students and their answers,summarizes the types of errors,and finally puts forward some effective teaching countermeasures based on the analysis of the causes of errors.Through comparative analysis,it is found that Indonesian students’ understanding of the basic color words in Chinese is not deep and comprehensive enough,so that there are errors in answering questions.Although the accuracy rate of the advanced level group is higher than that of the intermediate level group,there is no significant difference between them in some difficult questions.This research has certain theoretical and practical significance for teaching Chinese as a foreign language,contrastive linguistics of Chinese and Indonesian,intercultural communication and second foreign language teaching.
