Ren Bonian was a representative painter of the sea painting school in the late Qing Dynasty.His flower and bird paintings,figure paintings,calligraphy and seal cutting are all very representative.His painting has its own history,not only does it not lose the tradition of the ancients,but also forms its own artistic style and characteristics on the basis of drawing on other artistic forms.In particular,his realistic figure painting,in addition to the national art tradition,is also influenced by Western painting art.But it has not lost the characteristics of traditional Chinese figure painting.No matter in "vivid" or "pen use",it has a very traditional feature.At the same time,it also highlights the "truth" of figure painting.His realistic figure painting is not the imitation of the external image of things,but the grasp of the inner verve of the characters and the verve of things.Ren Bonian is the "bridge" between ancient Chinese figure painting and modern figure painting,so it is of great significance and value for the research of Ren Bonian's realistic figure painting.This paper takes the "truth" in Ren Bonian's portraits as the research topic,and analyzes the inner "truth" in Ren Bonian's portraits.By referring to the relevant literature and reference materials,combining with the observation and textual research of the original work,and taking the works of his realistic figure painting as an example,this paper analyzes the "truth" in Ren Bonian's realistic figure painting,the reasons for its formation,and the presentation of "truth".Combined with the ancient painting theory and Chinese aesthetic thought,this paper expounds the aesthetic thought in Ren Bonian's realistic figure painting.The article mainly discusses in four parts: the first part explains the purpose,significance,method,content and innovation of this study,as well as the research status of Ren Bonian's portrait at home and abroad;the second part elaborates the definition of "truth" in the theory of Chinese painting,and the records and works of vivid portrait in the history of Chinese figure painting The third part analyzes Ren's life experience and the background of his life.The fourth part is the core chapter of this paper.In this chapter,the author elaborates how to present the "truth" in Ren Bonian's realistic figure painting through several sections.In the first section,the author links Ren Bonian's portrait with the "vivid portrait" in ancient Chinese painting theory,and explains the "truth" in Ren Bonian's portrait with the concept of "vivid portrait" and the original work.In the last few sections,it explains the "truth" in RenBonian's portraits from the perspectives of "living with reality","vivid in spirit","using a pen with bone technique","giving color to each kind" and "dissimilarity".This paper analyzes the combination of the concrete ink language and the abstract aesthetic category.
