Comparison Of Two Musical Versions Of The Erhu Song "Sad Song"

As a landmark figure in the development history of erhu,Liu Tianhua left ten classic erhu solo pieces,making an indelible contribution to the development of erhu.These works,with different writing techniques and emotional expressions,show the composer’s ideal ambitions and the distress and discomfort caused by the dark social environment of the time.This article takes one of them,"The Sad Song" as the research object.By summing up my experience in learning and playing this song,this article mainly expounds the general musical characteristics of the tragedy,and compares the two musical score versions retained for historical reasons.Performance differences between the two versions.I hope to provide some reference for erhu learners who study Liu Tianhua’s works in the future.
