A Qualitative Study On The Behavior Characteristics And Motivation Evolution Of Participants In Square Dance

In the trend of aging society in China,loneliness of the elderly i s a prominent problem facing the healthy life of the elderly at present.Square dance was originally a ritual way and means used by the anc ient ruling class for religious sacrifice,and then this form gradually e volved into sacrificial ceremony.As a leisure project after work or lif e for middle-aged and elderly people,square dance has become an im portant part of the daily life of middle-aged and elderly people.The behavior motivation of the participants in the square dance is the internal reason that the participants are influenced by the situatio nal factors of the square and the individual produces diversified behav ior.Based on the content analysis of the well-known websites such as People’s Daily and Sina,this paper uses participatory observation and in-depth interview method to collect data,and uses rooted theory to analyze the evolution process of participants’ diversified behavior chara cteristics and motivation.Construct the theoretical model of behavior c haracteristics and motivation evolution of participants in square dance.After analysis of the results,the conclusions are as follows:1.The diversity behavior of square dance participants is the confl ict behavior between square dance behavior and square dance caused by group polarization.The behavior of square dance is characterized b y spontaneity,high enthusiasm and collectivity,while the conflict beha vior of square dance is characterized by extreme,destructive and disor derly behavior.2.Under the influence of group polarization,square dance diversi ty behavior is different behavior patterns of the same group in the sa me group.The high enthusiasm of the participants in the square danc e behavior will lead to the intensification of the extremes and disorde r of their behavior;in turn,this phenomenon of group extremism will also be condensed to a certain extent more collective and high Enthusiasm.3.In the early stage,participants in the square dance took loneli ness as the main driving force into the square dance;in the middle st age,through the collective interaction between other participants in the square dance,they formed a collective identity and sought to perfor m the "stage ";and finally,they evolved from collective identity to a sense of assembly ceremony in daily life,forming a process of moti vation evolution with loneliness feeling of assembly ceremony as the t heme story line.The motivation evolution of participants in square da nce four core codes are loneliness,collective interaction,collective ide ntity,and sense of assembly ceremony.4.The motivation of participants in the square dance has changed with time,mainly as follows: loneliness as the main inner part Drive to find the performance "stage" behavior change;lonely sense-the sen se of assembly ceremony as the theme story line of emotional change.Construct the theory model of diversity behavior characteristics and motivation evolution of square dance participants.5.Conflicts arising from the evolution of motivation suggest: red ucing loneliness;encouraging social interaction to bridge intergeneratio nal differences;creating positive media images for correct public opini on in square dancing;reshaping collective memory to strengthen ritual sense;establishing intergroup mechanisms to regulate the behavior of group members.
