Schema Theory is a Theory used by cognitive psychologists to explain psychological processes,and has been widely concerned in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in recent years.This theory holds that when people receive new information,they will mobilize the memory stored in their mind in the past,namely,the previous schema.When decoding and encoding,they need to combine with the previous schema to complete the information processing process.From the perspective of the research status,people begin to realize that schema theory explains the process of information acquisition,and the teaching model of this theory can effectively promote the development of Chinese listening teaching,so that an effective listening model can be constructed.This theory is widely used in English teaching and Chinese reading class,and is still in its infancy in Chinese listening.The author tries to take the Thai students in An Yang Normal University as the teaching object,and selects the second lesson"FOOD AND DRINK"of"SHORT-TERM LISTENING CHINESE(2ND EDITION)PRE-INTERMEDIATE"to study the intermediate listening class of the Thai international students,in order to provide reference for the intermediate listening teaching of the Thai international students.This paper firstly introduces the research background,research significance,research status and research methods.In the research status,the author specifically analyzes the research status of schema theory,TCSL listening research and intermediate listening research,laying a foundation for the following specific analysis of the relationship between the three.Secondly,the relationship between schema theory and TCSL listening teaching is studied,and the characteristics,classification and teaching modes of schema theory are analyzed in detail.Then,the feasibility of schema theory in intermediate listening class of Thai students is analyzed from three aspects:teaching environment,teaching object and teaching material.Then,the application of schema theory in each teaching link is analyzed in a specific teaching research.Finally,the author points out the advantages and disadvantages of schema theory in the intermediate listening class of TCSL through teaching evaluation and reflection on both teachers and students.Through the research and analysis of schema theory,this paper tries to improve the traditional listening teaching mode and make its own contribution to the teaching of listening as a foreign language.
