Thematic teaching is the center of gravity with the participation of students,according to the specific teaching environment under the condition of teaching contents and teaching target,by teachers to create related topics,to help students in immersive communication environment,the construction of the self language knowledge system as the important part of Chinese language teaching,culture teaching can help students better understand the target language of inherent logic of thinking,is also an important way to learners get a deeper understanding of China.Tanzania currently focuses on developing students' Chinese language skills,and has co-operated with China to open many Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms.As the main course in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,comprehensive Chinese courses have become the focus of teaching researchers.Especially for elementary Chinese learners,the teaching design of comprehensive Chinese courses has become an important part of teaching implementation and teaching evaluation.There are still some problems and weaknesses in the design and quality of elementary Chinese teaching in the Confucius Classroom at Morogoro Muslim University.Therefore,it is particularly important to design appropriate teaching methods to improve the Chinese language skills of Tanzanian elementary Chinese students according to the requirements of learners.This thesis takes the Confucius Classroom at Morogoro Muslim University taught by the author as an example,and uses the elementary Chinese comprehensive lesson "New Year is coming" as the teaching course to implement the teaching design.Based on previous research literature on the characteristics of Tanzanian Chinese classrooms,teaching design research,and elementary Chinese comprehensive courses,based on the theories of constructivism,humanism,and cognitionism,the theme-based teaching method was used to teach “The New Year Is Coming” design.The teaching design process is strictly in accordance with the basic principles and methods of teaching design.By analyzing teaching materials,teaching objects,and teaching objectives,formulating teaching activity measures,introducing relevantcultural knowledge,the teaching process of designing the “New Year is Coming” is described in detail.After the implementation of the teaching,the questionnaire survey method and classroom observation method were used to evaluate the teaching effect.It was concluded that the teaching design had a certain effect on improving students' learning interest,attitude,and performance.Students held this kind of teaching method.Supportive and positive attitude.After summing up and reflecting,the author believes that there are still some shortcomings in the teaching design,including topic design,interactive communication,link control,and atmosphere creation.The purpose of this study is to make up for the gaps in related fields,enrich the teaching methods and methods of comprehensive courses of Chinese as a foreign language,and provide reference for the teaching design of comprehensive courses of Chinese as a foreign language.
