Analysis Of Bai Suzhen's Singing In The Opera Madame White Snake

The opera "Madame White Snake" was created by the famous contemporary Chinese American composer zhou long,the play won the 95 th session of the United States "Pulitzer prize".He combines Chinese opera and folk music with western opera arias by taking ancient Chinese folk stories as the theme,integrates Chinese and western cultures into each other.It is a modern opera with strong oriental flavors.In this thesis,the author takes vocal music performance as the foothold,analyzes Bai Suzhen's singing in Madame White snake,and analyzes the articulation,pronunciation,breath,emotion and the combination of different cavity in the new opera singing.
