The musical Love of The White Snake is originated from Chinese folk The Legend of White Snake,but it is different from the original redundant plot.The first chapter,through the method of comparative research,elaborates on the creative innovation of directors and the actor's thinking about character roles.The director re-gives the actors' character in the play and reconstructs the conflicts and contradictions between the characters,making it a works of art that fit the aesthetics of contemporary audiences.At the same time,as the actors participating in the performance,requiring to interpreted the traditional classic characters into Contemporary spirit,which is another rare opportunity for actors to learn and show themselves.This article is based on author's acting experience,analyzing the process of characterization from four aspects: Bai Su Zhen As human,as devil,as fairy and the unity of the three states.The purpose is to explore a Possibility of Integrating Chinese Traditional Cultural Elements with Modern Musical.Another purpose is to dig how traditional themes can get new expressions of modernity in the context of modern musicals,and explore a possibility for contemporary aesthetic communication of traditional themes.
