| As the core contents of school physical education occurred throughout the country,Campus Football Training,China pays more and more attention to its development. The training is not only a physical fitness sport, but also plays an important role in cultivating students’ healthy personality and promoting the comprehensive development of students’ physical and mental health. The impact of Campus Football Training on children’s physical and mental health is a subject worthy of systematic research. In this study,Among the 99 Beijing campus football special schools newly announced by the Ministry of Education in July 2017,2 primary schools with better campus football development are selected。The participants were 80 children in grades3-4,including the experimental group consisted of 40 students from the campus football team. They received a total of 48-hour of campus football training for 16 weeks in their spare time. The control group consisted of 40 students in the natural class, and did not receive any physical training activities during the extracurricular time. This study is designed as experiment group-control group and front-back test. The independent variable of the study was campus football training, the dependent variable was the level of mental health and physical fitness indicators, the control variables were physical activity participation.Mental health indicators were measured by using the "the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire(the edition for teacher)" and Go/ no-go task,1-back and 2-back tasks,More-odd shifting task based on Eprime2.0.Physical fitness indicators use the 50 m running,sit-up,sit and reach and one-minute skipping rope.To explore the impact of school campus training on mental health and physical fitness of grade 3-4 children. The results prove that:(1)The children in the experimental group and the control group had significant differences in the scores of peer relationship problem, the total scores of difficult behaviors and the scores of pro-social behavior. In other words, after the intervention, the children in the experimental group scored lower on peer relationship problem and difficult behaviors than those in the control group, and the pro-social behavior scores were higher than those in the control group.(2)The experimental group and control group of children in the aspects of executive function:the accuracy of the Go/No Go task, the reaction of 1-back and 2-back tasks, the accuracy of the More-odd shifting task has significant difference. That is,after the intervention, the experimental group of children in the accuracy of the Go/No Go task and the accuracy of the More-odd shifting task were higher than the control group ofchildren,in the reaction of 1-back and 2-back tasks are less than the control group of children.(3)The results of the experimental group were significantly different before and after intervention: after 16 weeks of campus football training, the children in the experimental group showed significant differences in the scores of peer relationship problem, total scores of difficult behaviors and pro-social behavior and the accuracy of the Go/No Go task, the reaction of 1-back task, the accuracy of the More-odd shifting task and scores for physical fitness. That is to say, after the intervention, the children in the experimental group themselves will have lower scores on peer relationship problem and difficult behaviors, while pro-social behavior scores will increase。Both the Go/No Go task accuracy rate and the More-odd shifting task accuracy rate will increase。The reaction of 1-back task will decrease, and the 50 m running,sit-up,one-minute skipping rope and the total score of physical fitness were significantly improved compared to before training.Conclusion(1):Campus football training has a significant effect on promoting and improving the mental health of children in grade 3-4.Campus football training can reduce children’s problems in peer relationship problem and difficult behaviors;campus football training can effectively improve children’s pro-social behavior and the executive functions.Conclusion(2):16 weeks of campus football training can significantly improve the physical fitness of children in grades 3-4,especially speed, endurance and strength. However, the physical fitness of children will decline significantly after stopping campus football training. |
