Objective:This article explores the impact of Latin dance on adolescents’ physical fitness and mental health through a 12-week Latin dance exercise intervention for adolescents,as well as the differences in the impact of different types of Latin dance on the physical fitness and mental health of adolescents.Choose the appropriate exercise method to provide a scientific reference program.Methods: This article mainly uses experimental methods to randomly select 45 young students aged 13 to 15 from Wuhan Dongfangyan Art Training School as experimental subjects.They are divided into experimental group A,experimental group B,and control group C,each with 15 people.Groups and B groups received 12-week Latin dance exercise interventions(namely rumba and cha-cha),respectively.The control group C is the cultural class of the Dongfangyan Art Training Center.In addition to participating in the normal physical education classes in the school,they do not Participate in any physical education training class.Before and after the intervention,measure the height,weight,sebum thickness,vital capacity,grip strength,sit-ups,sitting forward bending and other indicators of the two groups of Latin dance experimental group and the control group to reflect the 13-15 year olds The changes in physical fitness and the "Middle School Student Mental Health Rating Scale"(MSSMHS)are used to reflect the changes in the mental health of adolescents from 13 to 15 years used to reflect the changes in the mental health of adolescents from 13 to15 years.Results:(1)The healthy physical fitness level of the adolescents in the two Latin dance experimental groups has improved to a certain extent.The specific manifestations are:after the experiment,the thickness of the sebum in the experimental group A decreased to a certain extent,the vital capacity increased significantly(P<0.05),and the number of sit-ups was significant Increase,the sitting body forward bending performance increased significantly,with a very significant difference(P<0.01);experimental group B sebum thickness decreased significantly(P<0.05),vital capacity increased significantly(P<0.01),and the number of sit-ups increased Obviously,there is a very significant difference(P<0.01),and the sitting body forward bending performance increased significantly(P<0.01).There was no significant difference between the two groups of Latin dance experimental groups before and after the grip strength test(P>0.05).However,there were no significant changes in all indicators of healthy physical fitness of adolescents in the control group C.(2)The mental health of the adolescents in the two Latin dance experimental groups has been improved to varying degrees.The specific manifestations are: after the experiment,the factors of “obsessive-compulsive symptoms”,“anxiety”,“emotional imbalance” and “total average score” of experimental group A were all improved.There is a certain degree of decrease,and there is a significant difference(P<0.05),among which the score of "learning stress" factor is significantly reduced(P<0.01);Experiment B group "interpersonal tension and sensitivity","depression","anxiety" The factor scores of ”and “total average” both decreased to a certain extent,with significant difference(P < 0.05),among which the factor scores of “learning stress” and“compulsive symptoms” decreased significantly(P < 0.01);control The factors of group C had no significant changes before and after the experiment.Conclusion:(1)Latin dance can improve the physical fitness level of young people to a certain extent.Rumba and Cha-cha have a certain positive effect on improving the body composition and cardiopulmonary function of adolescents,increasing the level of muscle endurance and physical flexibility,and has no obvious effect on increasing the muscle strength of the upper limbs of adolescents.(2)Latin dance can promote the mental health development of teenagers to a certain extent.Both Rumba and Cha-cha can reduce learning stress in adolescents,improve obsessive compulsive symptoms,and reduce anxiety.In addition,Rumba also has the role of emotional stability,and it can promote the improvement of interpersonal relationships among young people,alleviate the role of depression.(3)In Latin dance,there is no significant difference in the effects of rumba and Cha-cha on the physical fitness and mental health of adolescents.
