In the history of Britain,Edward ? was a king with "particularity".This is reflected in the following two points.First of all,he was the founder of the "New Monarchy".Secondly,he has the legendary experience of losing and restoring his position.Among them,Edward ?'s restoration experience after losing his throne is the most legendary and has a profound impact on the development of British history. It is a topic of research value and worth discussing systematically. This thesis includes five chapters: introduction and text.In the main body, firstly,it introduces the social background of Edward ?'s rule, discusses the struggle between the Lancastrian and the Yorkist around the control of royal government, the diplomacy to France and the throne under the background of "Bastard Feudalism" and the Wars of Roses.Secondly, the internal contradictions of the Yorkists and the loss of Edward ?'s throne. This thesis discusses the close relationship between the internal contradictions of the House of York and Edward ?'s loss of the throne from three aspects: the marriage of Edward ?,the conflicts between the Neville family and the Wydeville family, and foreign policy.Furthermore, the preparation and practice of Edward ?'s restoration are expounded. In particular,it focuses on the battles of Barnet and Tewkesbury. Finally, the historical reasons for the successful restoration of Edward ? are analyzed. This thesis argues that the instability of Warwick's regime, the popular sentiment of England and the favorable international environment contributed to the successful restoration of Edward ?.To clarify the above historical facts is not only helpful to understand the life of King Edward ?,but also to understand the nature of the British rose war and the start of the British modernization process.
