Ex-serviceman were an important force for China to maintain social stability and promote economic development.They were firm supporters of the party and the government.The party and the government also paid close attention to the rights and protection of ex-serviceman and promoted a series of Support policy.However,the current relevant policies and researches were all in the direction of the material economy.There was not much research on the psychological status and needs of Ex-serviceman.Therefore,this study started with the subjective well-being,combined the factors of career adaptability and social support to explore the overall status of subjective well-being,career resilience,and social support of ex-serviceman,as well as the relationship between them.It not only enriched and expanded subjective Contents of research areas such as well-being,but also provided the theoretical basis and implementation suggestions for the government departments to understand and master the psychological status of ex-serviceman,improve the subjective well-being of ex-serviceman,and implement related policies and research.This study consisted of two parts.The first was to use the "The General Well-Being Schedule",the "Career Adaptability question" and the "Chinese Military Social Support Scale" to test 503 ex-servicemen to understand relevant information.The second was through qualitative research,using a self-made semi-structured interview outline,selecting two ex-servicemen from each of the high and low groups to conduct interviews.It also used grounded theory to code and analyze the text data to explore in-depth the relationship and related factors of the subjective well-being,career adaptability,and social support of ex-serviceman.The findings were as follows:1.At present,the subjective well-being,career adaptability and social support level of ex-serviceman were generally good,but the subjective happiness level of male ex-serviceman was relatively low,and the subjective happiness of female ex-serviceman was relatively high.2.There were significant differences in the number of years of service between the subjective well-being,career adaptability,and social support levels of ex-serviceman,but there were no significant differences in demographic variables such as gender,education,age,whether they were only children,or whether they had livelihood skills.Sexual differences,while there were significant differences in different sub-dimensions of different variables.3.There was a significant positive correlation between the subjective well-being and career adaptability of ex-serviceman;there was a significant positive correlation between the subjective well-being and social support of ex-serviceman,and there was a significant positive correlation between career adaptability and social support of ex-serviceman.4.Social support for ex-serviceman had a mediating role between career resilience and subjective well-being.In general,the subjective well-being,career adaptability,and social support levels of Ex-serviceman in China are generally good,but the subjective well-being of male ex-serviceman is relatively low compared to the national norm,while the subjective well-being of female ex-serviceman is relatively high.
