Capriccio was a piece of piano music works created by the Chinese composer Sang Tong in 1959;Because of the brilliant and unique companion technique,this piano work has already ad mired by the public since it came out.It is significant for contemporary scholars and compose rs,to consider how Sang uses Chinese national harmonies and takes the Chinese national song s’ elements into his work.Sang’s companion style is made up by highlighting the Chinese feat ures and combine it with the Western companion technique.In Capriccio,Sang adds pentaton ic styles and folk element pioneering base on the Western companion technique,which presen ts a perfect combination of Chinese piano music with modern companion technique.This article will divide into three chapters.In the first chapter,Sang’s background and the co mprehending of Capriccio’s creation background will be introduced;Capriccio’s structure wil l be focus and analysis in the second chapter,the melody structure,the mode and tonality and the national harmony will be explained separately to get deeply understand of this work’s cont ext;Chapter three will analysis the gaze of performing this work from the touch of keys,the p edals and the emotional expression.At the same time,the author will share her opinion about the performance skills in this article,and hope it will help with further piano performance under the same topic.
