Analysis Of National Cultural Elements And Performance In Tan Dun's Eight Memories In Watercolor

Hunan folk music piano adaptation works are an important part of Chinese piano adaptation works.Composers integrate Hunan folk songs,instrumental music,local opera,geographical environment and folk culture into piano creation,so that the works show strong Hunan local cultural characteristics.Taking the piano work Memories In Watercolor by Tan Dun,a native composer of Hunan Province,as the representative,this paper analyses the national cultural elements in the works,and combines with the author's own practice,puts forward some reflections on Hunan's "regional" musical and cultural characteristics of the works in performance.
