Jehol rose because the Qing government implemented a pacifying policy towards Mongolia,which had a distinct political function.In the Qing Dynasty,the close communication between the rulers of the Qing Dynasty and the princes of Mongolia was carried out in Jehol area.Jehol,as a stage for the central government of the Qing Dynasty to implement the policy of pacifying Mongolia,still has an important and far-reaching historical significance nowadays.Jehol area rose up because Emperor Kangxi went on the Autumn Encirclement here.With the construction of Jehol Palace and several Tibetan Buddhist temples,Jehol gradually developed into a metropolis outside the Great Wall.Almost every year,the Qing emperor gathered here with the princes of Mongolia.The political status of Jehol area was gradually rising,and the Qing government attached more and more importance to this area.During the Kangxi period,the government began ruling this area.By the Qianlong period,the Qing period reached its heyday.Emperor Qianlong further completed the Mulan Encirclement system,expanded Jehol Palace,and built several Tibetan Buddhist temples,forming a large-scale temple complex,which not only further strengthened the political and ethnic functions of Jehol area,but also gave consideration to its religious function.At the end of Qing Dynasty,with the decline of national power,the continuous uprising in China and the invasion of foreign powers,the Qing government finally collapsed and the Jehol gradually declined.In the Qing Dynasty,Jehol,as the second capital of the Qing Dynasty,played an important role in politics,economy,culture,especially in the frontier policy and ethnic policy.In the late Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty,the internal and external troubles were gradually calmed down.For the sake of political needs,the Qing government built a large number of palaces and Tibetan Buddhist temples in Jehol.The political status of Jehol continued to rise and the Qing emperor gradually paid attention to this area.This paper takes the historical problems that were not studied in depth in Jehol area in the Qing Dynasty as the research object,including the establishment and evolution of the garrison of the eight banners of Manchu in Qar-a Qota,the feast and reward of the Qing emperor to the Mongolian princes in theprocess of hunting,and the historical events of the sixth Panchen to see the Emperor Qianlong in Jehol area,with the purpose to restores Jehol area in the Qing Dynasty from the following three aspects: military institution,ethnic policy and religious policy.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter discusses the garrison situation of the eight banners of Manchu in Qar-a Qota,Jehol area in the Qing Dynasty.The second chapter discusses the government ' s feast and reward to the Mongolian princes in the Qing Dynasty.The third chapter discusses the religious policies embodied in the sixth Panchen's Jehol pilgrimage and the construction of Xumifushou Temple.
