Research On The Impact Of Cultural Industry Agglomeration On China’s Regional Economic Growth

In recent years,with the continuous transformation of China’s economic development pattern,the cultural industry is becoming a new trend of industrial development and a new driving force of economic growth,and its agglomeration development characteristics are increasingly obvious.So,what is the impact of the cultural industry agglomeration on regional economic growth? Existing studies have made preliminary discussions on the above issues,but few studies have analyzed the mechanism of cultural industry agglomeration influencing regional economic growth from the perspective of space spillover,and discussed the relationship between different types of cultural industry agglomeration and regional economic growth.Therefore,based on the theory of agglomeration economy,this paper studies the regional economic growth effect of the agglomeration of the cultural industry and its sub-sectors,which has important theoretical significance and practical value for guiding the development of cultural industry agglomeration and cultivating new growth points for regional economy.Firstly,this paper systematically expounds the path and mechanism of cultural industry agglomeration affecting regional economic growth.Secondly,the paper uses Herfindahl index and Location Quotient index to measure the agglomeration level of China’s cultural industry and its sub-sectors from the national and regional levels respectively,and compares and analyzes its development trend from the perspective of time and space.Furthermore,under the spatial weight matrix of economic geographical distance,using the SDM model of fixed effect of time and space,this paper discusses the different effects of cultural industry and its sub-sectors on regional economic growth.The results show that:(1)The agglomeration level of cultural industry and its sub-sectors is significantly different in different geographical regions.During the sample period,the agglomeration level of cultural industry and its sub-sectors in China and the eastern region has declined,but that in the central and western regions has increased.The diffusion from the eastern region to the central and western regions has become the main trend of the development of cultural industry agglomeration in China in recent years.From the perspective of spatial distribution,the agglomeration level of cultural industries in the eastern region is still significantly higher than that in the central and western regions,and the unbalanced development trend of cultural industries and its sub-sectors is still prominent.(2)Cultural industry agglomeration has a significant positive role in promoting the economic growth of agglomeration and peripheral areas.(3)The influence of cultural industry agglomeration on regional economic growth has industry heterogeneity,and cultural manufacturing industry has the greatest impact on the economic growth of the agglomeration,but the spatial spillover effect of cultural service industry agglomeration is more obvious.Finally,based on the above research results,this paper proposes how to effectively use cultural industry agglomeration to promote regional economic growth in China.
