The works of art in each era are always reflecting the times and social conditions.The industrial revolution in the middle of the 18 th century gave birth to a number of great works of art reflecting on the relationship between nature and industry,including the famous painter and designer William Morris.He tortured and reflected on the current situation of the times and at the same time gave a set of his own response The concept of Pro nature,anti industry and art equality was rapidly developed in Europe.In this paper,while studying William Morris' s artistic concept and creation method,the author combines his own painting experience to analyze how the author should choose elements and how to deal with them in the creation of contemporary watercolor.The first part of the paper analyzes the background and social situation of the contemporary transformation of William Morris' s life,summarizes his life experience,and the second part analyzes William Morris In the third part,combined with my own creation,I discuss the influence and function of art creation under this kind of artistic concept on the current social life.By analyzing William Morris' s artistic ideas and creative methods,this paper explores another possibility of artistic creation and orientation in the industrial social environment,and expounds the idea source and academic background of this graduation creation by combining with self creation.
