Language Experience Of Expressive Oil Painting

This paper attempts to consider expressive oil painting in the context of the rise and development of expressive aesthetics and the special stage of the history of the development of oil painting itself.It points out that the expressive oil painting is the inevitable product of the evolution of visual and language mode of oil painting.It describes the origin and development of the expressive oil painting,from Post Impressionism,Fauvism,nabism to the multi patterns of expressive modern oil painting.Even in the period when the conceptual art prevailed after modernism,the expressive oil painting still continued to develop,and the concept still could not replace the painting noumenon language.The expressive oil painting is featured by humanization,unspeakable aesthetic characteristics,its elegant and sensitive meaning,and the subjectivity of expression,and thus it becomes more precious and lasting.Therefore,this paper attempts to clarify the linguistic features of expressive oil painting,that is,the special "oil painting flavor" of expressive oil painting,which includes its good operability and touchable pigment texture,its emotional nature of color,the self-discipline and unrestrained nature of deformation,the planarity of constitution,and the poetic nature of content.This paper also conveys the writer’s own creative practices and personal experiences as well as her perception of the expressive oil painting,which enables the writer to establish her own research and creation objectives: to draw on the expressive oil painting pioneers’ creative achievements and technical elements in painting colors,decoration composition,brush texture,and so on,to regard "fruit" as the "motif" of her own creation,and pursue her own unique style and painting language of "image performance oil painting".The writer will try to combine the "fruit" ingeniously into the context of painting to form a creative expression image,so as to highlight the sense of form in painting,and thus finally achieve a decorative effect while still with a meaningful form.
