A Practice Report On The English Translation Of “The Development Process And Trend Of The New Smart Cities In China”

Since the proposing of the New Smart Cities,academic research has been carried out both at home and abroad,without sufficient relevant translations.For supplement,this paper has carried out English translation practice on The Development Process and Trend of the New Smart Cities in China,aiming at providing readers in Englishspeaking countries with reference to the construction of New Smart Cities and publicizing the development achievements of China’s New Smart Cities.Based on the theory of the translator’s subjectivity,combined with specific case analysis,starting by the feature of the original text,it introduces how the translator carries out translation practice from the aspects of restoring the original style and adapting to the target language culture.This paper selects the examples that conform to the scientific and technological texts and the publicity texts,and applies the translator’s subjectivity theory to analyze for innovation.This paper adopts the methods of analysis and illustration,aiming to realize the adaptation of reproducing the style of original text and the target language culture.
