| For a very long time,the focus of translation studies has been in the linguistic equivalence between the original and the translation,but the importance of translators has not bee seriously taken into consideration.Since 1990 s,translation studies have experienced a “language-culture-people” change with the expansion of “culture turn”.After that,translators began to enjoy their recognition and respect.As a result,the translator’s subjectivity has become a new subject in translation studies.Especially,in recent years,it has been increasingly heatedly discussed in related academic circles.Meanwhile,people’s cognition toward the very phenomenon has also deepened.The factors of translator’s subjectivity get much more obvious and influential in prose translation,which requires both contents and aesthetic sensibility.In view of most of those relevant studies made by the scholars at home and abroad,which put more emphasis on theories,this thesis,with the essays Watching wrote by Long Yingtai as a sample,adopting the perspective of the translator’s subjectivity,would probe into translation skills in prose translation and solve some specific problems such as lexical choice,semantic supplementation,structural processing and clause integration.Hopefully,this study could serve as useful references for future translation practice and provide new and beneficial inspirations for related theoretical researches. |
