With the continuous progress of medical care worldwide, the treatment of many major diseases, especially malignant tumors, can be initially diagnosed through imaging.Through the imaging of lesion detection, medical imaging technology can not only help tumors screening, staging, and therapy evaluation but also assist the biopsy and surgical resection, which plays an extremely critical role in modern clinical medicine. It is in this context that the translator chose forward and chapter three of the medical imaging text Imaging in Pediatric Oncology as the source text of the translation practice, hoping to provide references for other medical imaging translations. The translator ultimately chose the functional equivalence theory as the guiding theory at the lexical, syntactic, discourse, and stylistic levels. The source text,as a non-literary medical text, has a lot of medical terminologies, passive voice, and complex sentences. With the detailed analyses of specific issues, the translator made sufficient preparations, referred to relevant medical dictionary and literature, and tabulated a detailed glossary about the imaging of pediatric tumors in the stage of pre-translation,which helped reduce the difficulties of translation. In the stage of translation, the translator classified and summarized various translation issues through classification markers, which significantly facilitated the analyses and summary in the stage of post-translation.Finally,through timely rethinking, summary, and re-practice,the translator accumulated sufficient translation experience and improved her translation skills. The translation practice report contains five chapters. The first chapter describes the background, source text, and objectives of the translation practice.Chapter two describes the specific tasks of the translation practice, while chapter three provides the guiding theory of the translation practice. The fourth chapter,as the critical chapter of the report, provides 30 detailed examples at lexical, syntactic, discourse, and stylistic levels. The fifth chapter elaborates on the translation findings, implications, limitations, and suggestions in the process of the translation practice, which is the summary of the translation report.
