Research On The Conscience Characteristics And Influencing Mechanism Of College Athletes

Purposes: Conscience is a set of internal moral standards to avoid evil and to do good,which is the core of distinguishing right from wrong,good from evil.Parenting style is an important factor affecting the developmental of individual conscience,in which self-esteem and aggression may play an important role.The purpose of this study is:(1)to explore the developmental characteristics of college athletes' conscience.(2)to explore the mechanism of self-esteem and aggression in parenting style and conscience.Method: In this study,two studies were conducted by questionnaire survey.In the first study,the Adolescent Conscience Questionnaire was used to investigate the specific status of college athletes' conscience characteristics.In the second study,college athletes from several universities in Hunan province were investigated by means of Adolescent Conscience Questionnaire,S-EMBU,Self-esteem Scale and Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire(BPAQ)to further explore the mechanism of self-esteem and aggression between parenting style and conscience.SPSS22.0 and Process were used for statistical analysis of the data,and the structural equation model was established.Result:(1)The overall conscience level of college athletes is high,among which the filial piety is the highest,followed by the sense of shame,right and wrong,tolerance,responsibility,compassion,the worst is the sense of gratitude,sincere confidence;(2)gender,place of origin and only child will affect the development degree of college athletes' conscience,but will not be affected by the professional category and different grades;(3)parenting style has a significant positive predictive effect on the development of college athletes' conscience.(4)self-esteem and aggression play a chain mediating role in the relationship between positive parenting style and the development of college athletes' conscience.In the negative parenting style,self-esteem only affects the development of college athletes' conscience.Conclusion:(1)parenting style significantly positively predicts the development level of college athletes' conscience.The more active parenting style adopted by parents,the higher the development level of college athletes' conscience.(2)self-esteem and positivity play a chain mediating role between the positive parenting style and college students' conscience;(3)only self-esteem mediates between the negative parenting style and the conscience of college athletes,while the mediating effect of aggression is not significant.
