Director's Exposition Of A Short Film Series On Poverty Alleviation,"Revitalizing Tonghe"

Eliminating poverty and improving people's livelihood are major issues in China's development.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has put poverty alleviation work in a more prominent position and launched a battle against poverty to achieve an all-round well-off society and modernization.In this context,film and television works on poverty alleviation themes emerge as the needs of the times.After watching a large number of excellent films and studying many related documents,I created a series of short films on the theme of poverty alleviation,"Revitalizing Tonghe".This article will focus on the creation of short films on poverty alleviation,taking "Revitalizing Tonghe" as an example,following the creation steps and then analyzing the work from three parts: preliminary planning,mid-term shooting and post-production.The problems and solutions which encountered before,during and after will be covered as well.This paper expounds how the short film on poverty alleviation expresses the positive significance of the film and television works on poverty alleviation in a small space.This article mainly discusses the selection of theme and style in planning,difficulties and methods in shooting,re-creation of works in editing,etc.At present,there are few research materials on the creation of short films which use poverty alleviation as the theme.This paper will conduct in-depth exploration from the practice perspective,to provide later practitioners with some creative ideas that can be used for practical operation.
