To promote exchange among the scholars and experts specializing in the low vision field,Beijing Tongren Hospital held the 10 th International Low Vision Rehabilitation Forum in Beijing on October 11,2019.The author got the forum audio and conducted the simulation consecutive interpretation according to the first part of the forum(the opening ceremony and the peak forum)under appropriate conditions.The author has always viewed the Effort Models by Daniel Gile as a meaningful theoretical tool and applied it into this simulation practice.Based on the model,the author makes a detailed analysis from four parts: task introduction,process description,case analysis and practice summary,thus conclude problems confronted in the practice,including effects of the adoption of different energy distribution models according to various situation,impact of over-consumption of energy on the interpreter,as well as the impact of other factors(namely vocabulary,logic framework and background information)on the interpretation.In addition,the author reports the measures have been taken and the correspondent effects.In this way,the author is enabled to improve personal language level,enhance translation and interpretation skills and psychological control.Through this simulation practice,the author learns and masters the ophthalmic information,broadens the vision,thus lays a solid foundation for the subsequent interpretation works.
