A Report On Translation Of The Daring Game(Chapters 1-5)

Children's literature is a kind of literature specially created for children.Compared with adult literature,children's literature has both literary connotation and special pertinence.Children's literature conforms to the characteristics of children's psychological development.It lays a literary foundation for children by using vivid language and plays an indispensable role in the process of children's growth.This translation practice report is a description,an argument and a summary for the author's translation strategies and methods applied in the whole translation process,on the basis of the translation task of Chapters One to Five of the children's literary work The Daring Game.Domestication strategy and free translation are mainly used in the author's translation practice,and the report consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction of the translation task,including the introduction of the author of the novel and translation materials,and the purpose and significance of the translation task;the second part is the description of the translation process,including pre-translation preparation,in-translation processing and post-translation review;the third part is translation case analysis,which specifically analyzes language features of children's Literature and specific cases under the guidance of Skopos Theory;the fourth part is the summary of the translation practice,and through the summary and analysis of the translation process,the author briefly clarifies the translation rules and methods of children's literature in this translation practice.
