For many years,the country has been devoted to deepening educational reform,accelerating educational modernization,and promoting the equitable development of education.It has made great efforts to solve the problem of imbalanced and inadequate educational progress.In this context,educational reform work in rural areas has further received attention from people.And achieved some results.As one of the most important subjects in the compulsory education stage,English not only allows students to gain second language knowledge,but also broadens students’ horizons and feels multiculturalism.However,English teaching in rural areas still has tough steps.In the absence of a wealthy English learning environment,English classrooms have become the main place for elementary school students to learn English,and the grave responsibility of imparting English knowledge is borne entirely by English teachers.This puts forward higher requirements for the quality of classroom teaching of English teachers in rural primary schools,and at the same time,it gradually shows numerous problems in the classroom teaching of English in primary schools in rural areas.This study is based on the consideration of this issue,and decided to go deep into rural elementary schools,understand the problems existing in the process of implementing English teaching,and put forward corresponding measures to inject new vitality into improving English teaching in rural primary schools.Bringing a fresh vision of English classroom teaching.In this study,six rural primary schools were selected as research objects,and the research methods were based on the literature method,the questionnaire survey method,classroom observation method,and interview method.The thesis is composed of six parts: the introduction part,which introduces the research background,research purpose and methods of this thesis,and sorts out related research at home and abroad;Chapter 1 defines the related concepts involved in the thesis,and introduces the theoretical basis of the thesis.Chapter 2introduces the investigation and study of English teaching in rural elementary schools in detail,including the design and implementation of questionnaire survey methods,interview methods,and classroom observation methods;Chapter 3 analyzes the research results ofEnglish teaching in rural elementary schools;Chapter 4 Based on the results of the survey,the current problems in the English teaching classrooms in rural primary schools are summarized.Chapter 5 looks into the causes of the problems in English classroom teaching in rural primary schools,including the establishment of English teaching conditions,the structure of the English teacher team,the teaching process of English teachers,and the lack of meticulous care of students by teachers and parents.Chapter 6 focuses on problems in classroom teaching in rural primary school,and put forward corresponding solutions:creating good English teaching conditions;reasonably improving the structure of English teachers in rural primary schools;implementing a scientific and rigorous English teaching process;improving students’ self-awareness and encouraging parents to cooperate and participate.The final conclusion section summarizes the contents of the study and analyze the limitations of the study.
