Self-playing and singing,a foundation course that combines technicality and practicality has received more and more attention in the discipline construction of music majors in colleges.In order to understand the current teaching situation of self-playing and singing in Hunan universities,the writer used stratified sampling method and selected six universities including Hunan Normal University,Hunan First University,Hunan University of Science and Technology,Hunan City University,Shaoyang University and Hunan University of Technology to conduct an in-depth investigation and research on the set up and teaching situation about this course.This research is dedicated to analyzing teaching problems through the current teaching situation,aiming to promote the improvement and development of the course of self-playing and singing and improve the teaching effect of it.The first chapter elaborates the background and significance of this research from both theoretical and practical aspects.By researching and analyzing the relevant literature of the self-playing and singing course to determine the research ideas and methods.After defining the concept ofself-playing and singing,the specific method of extracting survey objects from this survey will be explained.The second chapter conducts the statistics and analysis of questionnaire filled by the students and teachers,combing the teaching syllabus about these six schools from the aspects of course name and teaching textbooks,teaching goals,class hours and related course arrangements,evaluation to understand the teaching status of self-playing and singing.Based on the field observation and recording in the classroom,using the four-dimensional classroom observation method of Professor Cui Yunzheng,the current situation of the teaching of self-playing and singing courses in each school was analyzed.The third chapter was based on the above survey of the current teaching situation of six colleges and universities in Hunan Province.It compares and analyzes the course from three aspects: Curriculum Provision,Teachers’ teaching,Students’ learning,in order to find and analyze problems.From the Curriculum Provision aspect,the writer gives a comparative study of the teaching status of these six universities starting from teaching contents,ability training and examination and evaluation,finding thepersonality and commonality,advantages and disadvantages of each schools.From the Teacher’ s Teaching aspect,the writer conducts an in-depth research on the professional background and skill foundation,teaching interaction and adaptability,teaching thinking and classroom control of six teachers,analyzing the teaching characteristics and their correlation with teaching effects from their teaching behaviors.From the perspectives of students’ learning,this paper discusses students’ learning expectations and learning status from three aspects including learning foundation and ability development,classroom practices and demonstrations,after-class practice and artistic practice.The fourth chapter proposes solutions according to the previous observation and analysis and makes targeted recommendations to the construction of the discipline of self-playing and singing from the three aspects of clarifying the content of the subject,adjusting the content of the course and improving the evaluation system,making the investigation on the teaching status of the self-playing and singing course more practical.In a word,this paper shows a flexible research idea of curriculum construction based on the research on the currentteaching situation of college self-playing and singing course.To some extent,it enriches the research theory of the construction of the self-playing and singing course and possesses strong application in practice guiding significance.
