With the in-depth development of the globalization of scientific and technological exchanges,the continuous popularization of social information,and the deepening of international exchanges,English has become the universal language in the world and an essential tool for international communication.As one of the five English language skills,"reading" is undoubtedly a challenge for students facing the college entrance examination.Secondly according to the High School English New Curriculum Standard(2017)in the contents of the English curriculum provision:English course content is composed of six basic elements,namely the theme context and discourse type,language knowledge,cultural knowledge,language skills and learning strategies,and reading comprehension in the college entrance examination English exam proposition policy is also consistent with.Therefore,it is necessary to optimize the teaching of English reading.According to the above problems,this thesis tries to solve the following two problems:1.What problems do high school students have in English reading?2.Does the hypertext English reading model help to solve teachers' problems in reading teaching?According to the above research questions,this study designed a complete English reading teaching course from the perspective of hypertext based on the analysis of hypertext related reading teaching cases.First,according to the requirements of the High School English New Curriculum Standard(2017)on students' reading comprehension ability,a questionnaire on students' reading level,reading ability and classroom observation records were developed,and the problems of students' reading learning were analyzed through the relevant results.Second,students do not have enough background knowledge about the topic of the article.Third,the ability to use keywords to comb the structure of the whole article is poor,the lack of overall thinking and innovation consciousness.In addition,through further analysis of teacher interview records and classroom observation and evaluation,first,this thesis analyzes the reasons for these reading problems.Second,explain the importance of students' reading skills and methods,especially the degree of light guidance to key words and discontinuous texts.Third,the emphasis on the teaching effect of reading lacks the process of cultivating students' deep reading thinking.Finally,through the implementation of the course,it is found that the combination of internal and external hypertext links can improve students' reading interest,enrich their reading background knowledge and provide students with multiple texts.At the same time,they are encouraged to find "nodes" after reading the text,and establish links between different nodes in the form of problem chain,so as to help them reach the goal of solving problems,effectively understand the article,create their own hypertext and enrich their prior knowledge.
