A Stury Of Taoism In The Shangjing Area Of The Jin Dynasty

Taoism came into being at the last years of Han Dynasty,and Taoism also flourished in the Jin Dynasty,with the characteristics of the northern ethnic groups.In the early years of the Jin Dynasty,the Jin Dynasty was at war with the Liao and Song dynasties,most of the territory of the central plain area was occupied by the jurchens,Taoism was introduced into Jin Shangjing,and the influence of Taoism in the Jin Dynasty continued to the Yuan Dynasty.Jin Shangjing experienced the periods of Taizu,Taizong,Xizong and prince hailing of jin.As the capital of the early Jin Dynasty,the rise and fall of Jin Shangjing had a direct impact on the development of Taoism in the Shangjing area of the Jin Dynasty,so it is of certain significance for the study of Taoism in the Shangjing area.In the Jin Dynasty,the Shangjing area has a broad jurisdiction and a complex ethnic composition,so the religious belief in the Shangjing area is diversified.This paper tries to study the social background of the development of Taoism in the Shangjing area of the Jin Dynasty,the development of Taoism in the Shangjing area of the Jin Dynasty,and the influence of the evolution of the relevant Taoist policies of the Jin Dynasty on Taoism in the Shangjing area.Due to the war between the Jin Dynasty and the Liao and Song dynasties and the influence of the culture of the Liao and Song dynasties,Taoism formed many new factions in the Jin Dynasty,including Quanzhen Taoism,Taoism and Taiyi Religion.Taoism in the Shangjing area of the Jin Dynasty developed as early as the period of Taizong and Taizu.Taiyi religion was popular in the period of Xizong,and Cao Taoist faction was popular in the periods of Shizong and Zhang Zong.During the reign of Shizong and Zhang Zong,the active study of the advanced culture of the Song Dynasty laid the foundation for the development of Taoism in the Shangjing area.Taiyi Religion and Quanzhen Religion,the two sects of the Jin Dynasty,spread to varying degrees in the Shangjing area.Cao Taoist faction practiced monasticism in Taixu Cave of Songfeng Mountain as the center,and had many disciples.Cao Taoist inscriptions are of special historical value for the interpretation of the development of Taoism in Jin Shangjing area.The existence and development of Taoism in Jin Shangjing area has distinct characteristics.The relationship between the development of Taoism in the Shangjing area of the Jin Dynasty and the Jin regime is inseparable.The Jin regime's policy and attitude towards Taoism directly affected the development of Taoism in the Shangjing area.For foreign Taoism,the Jin Dynasty adopted an inclusive attitude based on its own interests.The establishment of the new sect attracted the attention of the Jurchen rulers.In order to ease the ethnic contradictions,the rulers of the Jin Dynasty courted Taoist leaders,gave plaque and degree broker,and recognized Taoism at the national level,which made the development of Taoism justified.The rise and development of Taoism in Shangjing area is closely related to the advocacy and management of Jin Jurchen rulers.
