A Report On Engish Translation Of International Aerotropolis:To Build The Future In Huge Space(Chapter Six To Chapter Eight)from The Perspective Of Peter Newmark’s Communicative Translation Theory

With the rapid development of science and technology,the era of huge space has followed closely.As a new form of economy,the airport economy is booming in the era of huge space.The international airport city is emerging as an advanced form of the development of the airport economy,and the construction of international aerotropolis has become international consensus.In order to bring China’s research achievements in the field of the construction of international aerotropolis to the world,then to achieve the sharing of international economic information and to promote China’s economic exchanges and cooperation with other countries,the author participated in the translation of the book International Aerotropolis--Shaping the Future in a Huge Space.Under the guidance of Peter Newmark’s communicative translation theory,appropriate translation methods and strategies were used to translate the contents of chapters 6 to 8 of the book.This translation report includes four parts.The first part is an introduction of the translation project.It mainly introduces background of the text selection,purpose and significance of the translation practice project and the main content of the translation text,and then makes an in-depth analysis of the features of the original text as an economic text at the lexical,syntactic and textual levels.The second part is an overview of the translation process,which clarifies the main tasks in the process of translation practice through the elaboration of pre-translation work,translation process and post-translation proofreading.The third part is the case analysis.Under the guidance of Peter Newmark’s communicative translation theory,the author analyzes the application of specific translation skills and translation strategies in terms of vocabulary,syntax and discourse with specific examples.The fourth part concludes the gains and inspirations,the problems and shortcomings of the translation practice project.Under the guidance of Peter Newmark’s communicative translation theory,this translation practice report explores and practices the methods and strategies applicable to the translation of economic texts,which provides a reference for future translators engaged in the translation of economic texts.
