As a common language phenomenon,euphemism can make interpersonal communication more harmonious.In interpersonal communication,the correct use of euphemism can avoid communication failure.Therefore,Chinese euphemism occupies an important position in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.As the mother tongue of the Thai people,Thai language reflects the cultural characteristics of the Thai people.There are a lot of euphemisms.The cultural differences between Chinese and Thai are also reflected in euphemisms.Chinese euphemisms have always been difficult for Thai students to learn.Currently,there are relatively few such targeted teaching studies.Taking Swang Boriboon Witaya School as an example,this paper studies the euphemism teaching in Chinese international education.It is divided into three parts:First,the ontological study of euphemism.Second,the learning of euphemism in Swang Boriboon Witaya School.It mainly uses the method of questionnaire survey to analyze the errors existing in students’ learning euphemism.Third,the difficulties in teaching euphemism in Thailand and teaching suggestions.This paper analyzes the difficulties in euphemism teaching from the characteristics of euphemism,Thailand’s special cultural background,language environment and other factors.On the basis of previous studies,this paper only studies euphemism teaching in Thai schools,and makes suggestions on Chinese euphemism teaching in combination with the actual teaching situation in Thailand.
