As a part of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,the teaching of intermediate reading class plays an important role,but from the existing research,the research on the teaching of intermediate reading class of Chinese as a foreign language needs to be strengthened.Taking the reading course of the second-year undergraduate students majoring in Chinese language and literature of Suzhou University as an example,the researcher carried out the teaching of the intermediate reading course of Chinese as a foreign language,and studied the problems found in the course of teaching.The contents of the research include the definition and characteristics of the intermediate reading course,teaching objectives,teaching materials,teaching methods,assignment arrangement and so on.Based on the definition and characteristics of middle-level reading class,the feasibility and value of this study are considered.Then,some problems exist in middle-level reading teachers when setting teaching goals and some suggestions are put forward.Then,some common teaching materials in middle-level reading class are studied.At the same time,the teaching methods commonly used in intermediate reading class are studied.According to the actual teaching situation,the problems which are easy to appear in the course of using teaching methods are summarized and some suggestions about the use of teaching methods are put forward.
