On C-E Translation Of Marvelous Folk Music And Dances In Enshi From The Perspective Of Cultural Translation Theory

The development of China's reform and opening up has brought new opportunities and challenges to Chinese economy.And the booming tourism industry has become a new business card for regional and national development and serves as a new carrier for cultural exchange and communication.Especially for remote ethnic settlements,tourism has opened up a new world for them,enabling the precious ethnic culture to be passed down and spread.Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture,owning a strong ethnic cultural atmosphere and unique ethnic cultural,is the settlement of Tujia and Miao people.However,closed geographical location and unique ethnic culture make it difficult for sightseeing.In recent years,the transportation conditions of Enshi have been greatly improved.And the government also pays more attention to the development and publicity of tourism,which makes Enshi tourism developing rapidly and attracting a large number of tourists from home and abroad.The abundant human customs and beautiful natural scenery make Enshi tourism unique.In this context,it is of great practical significance to study the translation of Enshi tourism texts.The Marvelous Enshi aims to propagate Enshi in an all-round way,including Green Enshi,Beautiful Enshi,Tasty Enshi,Enshi Folk Cus,toms and Marvelous Folk Music and Dances in Enshi,there are many researches about historical and natural tourism translation but few translation about folk cultural translation,so based on the book Marvelous Folk Music and Dances in Enshi,the author tries to analyze the features and difficulties of cultural texts and explore strategies and methods of such texts from the perspective of cultural translation theory.The research aims to provide reference for the Chinese-English translation of cultural texts and the spread of Tujia culture.The thesis consists of five parts.Firstly it introduces the research background,task profile,significance of the study and the structure of the thesis.Then the thesis expounds preparation of pre-translation,translation process and post-translation,and then the introduction of cultural translation theory and its core concepts.Then the author analyzes some difficulties and key points to deal with such texts and how to translate with appropriate approaches and methods.Finally,the author concludes some experiences and offer some suggestions.This study can help us to have a better understanding of the translation characteristics,modes and methods of tourism text about certain culture.
