Over the past four decades of reform and opening up,China’s economy has developed rapidly,and its comprehensive national strength and international status have been continuously and rapidly improved.In particular,since the "One Belt And One Road" initiative was put forward,the exchanges between China and other countries in politics,economy,trade,culture,education and other levels have been increasing day by day.Among them,Chinese cultural communication,as a bridgehead for exchanges with the rest of the world,not only plays the role of communication bridge and link,but also plays an indispensable and important role in the national strategic development framework.Cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teachers to Thailand,especially cross-cultural psychological adaptation,is the main direction of this paper.This is mainly based on three considerations: first,the problem of cross-cultural psychological adaptation is a problem that occurs frequently in the process of cross-cultural communication in recent years,but it only receives a limited academic attention;Secondly,as the first country in southeast Asia to have Chinese teacher volunteers,Thailand also has the largest number of Chinese teacher volunteers.At present,about one million people are learning Chinese,so it is representative.Thirdly,since 2003,China has sent nearly 20,000 Chinese teachers to Thailand,during which the problems of cross-cultural psychological adaptation are more typical and universal.Aiming at the problem of cross-cultural psychological adaptation of Chinese teachers in Thailand,this paper intends to conduct relevant research from four aspects.Firstly,the questionnaire is used to investigate Chinese teachers in Thailand,which mainly involves the basic information of Chinese teachers in Thailand and their performance and status of psychological adaptation in the process of cross-cultural communication.Secondly,the key factors affecting the cross-cultural psychological adaptation of Chinese teachers in Thailand were explored.Considering demographic factors,the study emphasis is on the relation between the social cultural adaptation degree and the mental adaptation degree of Chinese language teachers in Thailand,in the four aspects such as living environment,interpersonal communication,service mode and social support.Furthermore,a targeted survey was conducted on the cross-cultural psychological adaptation of Chinese teachers in Thailand through interviews,and the results showed that the main factors affecting the psychological adaptation of Chinese teachers were psychological expectation,language communication and differences in educational culture.Finally,on the basis of the above research conclusions,some Suggestions are put forward on how to improve the cross-cultural psychological adaptation of Chinese teachers in Thailand.
