Chinese reference is one of the important methods of discourse cohesion,and the reasonable use of referential methods has an effect on textual cohesion and coherence.Intermediate Korean students have problems with inappropriate use of reference in written expression,which seriously affects textual cohesion and coherence.This paper are mainly adopted the ways of textbook analysis,foreign student corpus data analysis,and comparative analysis,on one hand,it explores the rules of the use of Chinese reference,on the other hand,it analyzes the characteristics and errors of the use of reference of Intermediate Korean students.The research mainly includes the following parts:The first part includes the current research status,definition of related concepts,and theoretical basis.With regard to the study of referential ontology,the main field that the scholars study is focused on the classification of referential issues,but lack of systematic research on the use of referential rules.In terms of the researches of references in Chinese as a Foreign Language,the research of referential errors of the foreign students has accumulated certain results,but the reasons for error have not been thoroughly analyzed.And there are also lack ofcountry-specific researches.In the second part of this study,we study the use of Chinese narrative textual references,which takes the textbook Develop Chinese used by foreign students as reference and analyzes the problems of reference exercise setting and knowledge arrangement in the textbook.Through the analysis of textbook corpus,we find that the use frequency of personal reference is higher than that of demonstrative reference in Chinese narrative text,and the use frequency of zero reference is higher than that of personal pronoun reference,the use frequency of personal pronoun reference is higher than nouns reference.The demonstrative reference are mainly reflected in three forms:the single use of "this,that",the group of words of " this that" and " this or that+NP"."This" and its combination are used more frequently than "That" in practice,and they are distributed asymmetrically.The third part makes an analysis and statistics to the use of reference of the students of this group based on the collection of the corpus of intermediate Korean students.Compared with the use of normative Chinese textual reference,there exist some problems in the use of discourse reference happened in the foreign students,excessive use of personal pronouns reference,insufficient use of zero reference,excessive use of noun references,and the low correct rate of using of zero reference and demonstrative.The fourth part analyzes and classifies the errors of using reference of the intermediate Korean students.We classify the errors of personal reference of foreign students into seven categories.The errors of demonstrative reference are divided into three categories.there are three errors appearing more,they are zero reference mistaken for personal pronouns,personal pronouns mistaken for zero reference,and zero pronouns mistaken for noun reference.Compared with the use of international students in other countries,the errors of excessive use of personal pronouns reference and excessive use of nouns reference in this group are more prominent.And in this part,we analyze the reasons for the high accuracy and error rate reference by foreign students.The fifth part is based on the analysis of the previous data,According to the learning difficulties of the intermediate Korean students,we put forward suggestions and measures to improve students' ability to use reference from teachers,textbooks,and students.
