This thesis takes Su Tong's novels as the research object, and analyzes and discusses Su Tong's writing problems from three aspects:theme content, narrative strategy, and stylistic form. The main content is divided into three parts:The first part expounds the characteristics of Su Tong's novels in terms of subject matter. It is believed that Su Tong's novels have a one-dimensional narrative tendency in the subject matter, which is embodied in the hopeless youth growth in teenage stories, the defined and enlarged personality traits in female tragedies, and the avoidance of "good" and "evil" in humanity mining.".The meaning of growth in juvenile narrative was shelved, and the problems of female writing highlighting women themselves revealed a masculine consciousness, and the ultimate expression of the dim humanity became a unitary theory of humanity. The second part analyzes the narrative characteristics and problems of Su Tong's novels. As an important feature of Su Tong's novels, sometimes it is a narrative strategy that the author intentionally uses.Repetitions appear in both single texts and between multiple texts.Discourse and themes,Characters, background, and plot all have different degrees of repetition;sometimes it reveals a certain problem, that is,the author's persistent writing and imagination of childhood, obsessed with self-growth experience, resulting in lack of narrative resources, and then unable to grasp the present This article believes that the insurmountable creative psychological obstacles brought about by the childhood trauma are also the writing difficulties of a generation of writers. The third part explores the stylistic issues of Su Tong's novels.Su Tong's novels have a limited "natural length" and are better or more enthusiastic about small novels. The "minor" long-form pattern limits the capacity of the work and weakens the sense of weight that traditional novels should have;limited space and thought will inevitably lead to insurmountable conflicts between"light" and "heavy",and the "unbearable lightness" limit He works on the criticality of reality and the depth of thinking about the "China problem".This article believes that the problems in Su Tong's novel creation are not only related to the creator's mentality, thinking mode, and creative habits, but also to the audience's psychology, readers' needs, and market pressure. As a member of the writers born in the 1960s,Su Tong is also one of the pioneer writers who grew up in the 1980s.The problems in his novel creation are universal. It helps to examine the problems of contemporary novel creation in the changing times and has a warning effect on the current literary writing.
