A Report On C-E Consecutive Interpreting From The Perspective Of Interpretive Theory:A Case Study Of Quick As Technology Product Launch Event 2019

The report focuses on discussing and analyzing the C-E consecutive interpreting of Quick As Technology Product Launch Event 2019 which is to introduce the newly-updated function of its application Bullet Message(now called Chat Bao)within the framework of the Interpretive Theory founded by Danica Seleskovitch.Internalizing and employing the Interpretive Theory which can be divided into three parts:comprehension of source language,diverbalization as well as expression in the form of targeted language,into practical consecutive interpreting of science and technology will assist the technological communications at home and abroad to promote the mutual development in the field of technology.After the first interpreting,the occurred problems during the interpreting process have been analyzed and summarized into five categories.Through studying and contemplating the Interpretive Theory,the five main solutions have been proposed to the corresponding difficulties.Through the second practical interpreting,when the difficulties occurred,corresponding and appropriate strategies have been applied to solve them,making the second practice a better one,which implies the feasibility and utility of applying the Interpretive Theory into the practical consecutive interpreting.The structure of report consists of five parts:background introduction,preparation,difficulties,solutions and conclusion,emphasizing on difficulties such as redundancy,structural loss,logical ambiguity,run-on sentences as well as idiomatic expressions and corresponding solutions such as omission,amplification,free interpreting,combination as well as explanation within the framework of the Interpretive Theory.
