Shi Ci Tong Yun is a rhyme book written in the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty, written by Pu Yinzi. In the compilation process, the book incorporates multiple rhyme books, which are divided into three syllables:Standard Sounds Sounds,Zhongzhou Sounds and North Chinese Sounds. The table of contents of the whole book is arranged in the order of Pingshui Sounds."Rhyme Book" is mainly composed of Standard Sounds Sounds,Zhongzhou Sounds and North Chinese Sounds.Besides,South Chinese Sounds appear twice. There are both connections and differences between the various phonological systems, which are of great reference value for reflecting the appearance of the phonetics at that time.Based on the research of previous scholars, this paper examines the style of the book, and makes further research on the problems of sound, rhyme and tone of each phonology. The thesis mainly discusses from the following aspects:The first chapter is the introduction, which briefly explains the version, the author’s life, the arrangement style, the research status, the research significance, and the research method of "Poetry and Rhyme".The second to fourth chapters are the main parts of the dissertation. They study Tongyin Sounds,North Chinese Sounds, and Zhongzhou Sounds from the perspectives of initials, finals, and tones, and discuss the nature of Tongyin Sounds,North Chinese Sounds, and Zhongzhou Sounds. In the second chapter, this paper re-examines the question of the existence of the rhyme of the rhyme with a stop ending, and reconstructed pronunciation of the the rhyme with a stop ending.Concluded as follow:Tongyin Sounds has 31 initial positions and 32 initials, and the voiced obstruents(stop, affricate and fricative)remain;Tongyin Sounds and Hong Wu Zheng Yun have a lot in common.Tongyin Sounds should be a synthetical phonological system, reflecting the reading sounds of the time.North Chinese Sounds and Zhongzhou Sounds did not enter the sound, and their tones are in line with the principle of full voiceless sound.Tongyin Sounds and Zhongzhou have 32 initials and 31 initials, while North Chinese Sounds does not have full voiced initials. The difference between Zhongzhou and Tongyin Sounds is mainly in rhyme and tone, while North Chinese Sounds and Tongyin Sounds have different rhymes and tones,as well as initials. The tones have the invoicing and[m]syllabic ending, while the North and Zhongzhou Sounds have no invoicing, and the[m]syllabic ending merge into the[n]syllabic ending. The North Chinese Sounds should be the Beijing sound of that time, while the Zhongzhou Sounds should reflect the sound system of the Zhongzhou rhyme books at that time, rather than the sound of a certain place. The last chapter is the conclusion part, which briefly summarizes the Tongyin Sounds,North Chinese Sounds and Zhongzhou Sounds, and compares the three sound systems in the table.
