The quality of teaching materials determines the effectiveness of teaching and learning to a large extent.This article is based on the designated teaching materials of the Chinese Language Proficiency Test,"Standard Chinese Conversation 360 Sentences"(1)(1)and "Standard Chinese Conversation 360 Sentence Teaching Scenario Video"(1)(2),and uses the documentary method and statistical method to conduct in-depth research.The innovation is reflected in the novelty of the topics chosen and the lack of relevant research results in the academic community,and in the methodological science,which focuses on the organic combination of quantitative and qualitative research.The following conclusions were drawn.In terms of overall design,the materials are written with clear objectives to help learners improve their oral communication skills and pass the oral Chinese test.The overall structure and format of each lesson is appropriate,with each lesson divided into eight sections,which facilitates the learner’s learning in blocks.The layout is well-designed,color-printed,and beautifully framed,and is not only practical but also interesting.From the point of view of the composition of the teaching materials,the phonetic content of the teaching materials is complete,starting with the rules of pinyin,then the comparison of key sounds,the matching of tones,the tone and intonation,step by step,so as to help learners to lay a good foundation of pronunciation in a comprehensive manner.The number of vocabulary words generally meets the requirements for short-term oral Chinese teaching,but is not evenly distributed.The vocabulary level meets the standard of "Syllable Chinese Vocabulary Classification for International Education",and the notes are practical and interesting.The right number of grammatical points per lesson,and the careful division of language points,can reduce the learning difficulty of the learner.Realistic and natural,short and practical statements in conversations reduce the learner’s learning stress.The content of the cultural points is broad in scope and clearly and concisely arranged to help learners gain an initial understanding of Chinese culture.The exercises are rich in questions,moderate in quantity,simple and easy to understand,and the content of the exercises is from easy to difficult,which can effectively improve the interest and efficiency of the learners,but does not strictly distinguish between after-class and in-class exercises.From the point of view of multimediaization of the teaching materials,the teaching materials integrate new media technology and provide high-definition supporting scenario video.The video is largely consistent with the textbook and facilitates the learner’s understanding of what is happening in the session,but there is too little video content and only the session section of the textbook,which lacks content from the other sections.Based on the above findings,this paper makes recommendations for the development of oral teaching materials from three aspects:implementing the principles of teaching materials development,supporting teachers’ teaching and promoting students’self-learning.It was pointed out that oral teaching materials should be written in a practical,scientific and interesting manner,and that they should be easy for teachers to teach and students to learn on their own.
