Synonym with the same morpheme,monosyllabic-verb and disyllabic-verb is one special type of synonym.So far,the academic circle has been largely focused on the distinction of the words and the error analysis while the studies of arrangement of this kind of synonym in the textbook is limited.Taking two widely-used comprehensive TCSL textbooks,Chinese Course and New Practical Chinese Textbook as the scope of research,this paper studies synonyms with the same morpheme,monosyllabic-verb and disyllabic-verb.The paper mainly consists of the arrangement of this kind of synonym in the two textbooks,relevant discovered problems and given suggestions about arrangement in textbook and both teaching and learning.First of all,this paper specifies the selecting principles of synonyms with the same morpheme,monosyllabic-verb and disyllabic-verb as well as classifies the corresponding types of the words.In the end,the qualified words are sorted out among the two series of textbooks,67 groups in Chinese Course and 121 groups in New Practical Chinese Textbook.Then,the writer added up and analyzed the words according to National Syllabus of Graded Words and Characters for Chinese Proficiency.The research ranges from explanations and markings,the grammar and exercise section and the repetition and co-occurrence of words.Through both of the quantitative and qualitative analyzing methods,the result shows that the textbooks fail to focus enough concentration on this kind of words and reveals some common problems.Therefore,the paper later talked about the specific problems in the textbooks which includes faultiness of translation,lacking of the marking of the style and the deficiency of differentiation,exercise and repetition.According to these findings,the writer raises some suggestions for teachers,students and the editor of the textbook based on the specific problems.In the edition of a textbook,corresponding exercises should be included and the explanation and translation of new words requires further improvement.In particular,the advanced textbooks ought to raise the consciousness of differentiation.Apart from those,it's important for TCSL teachers and students to use the textbook wisely,developing their ability to classify the words and make necessary complement when the textbook has failed to pay enough attention on this kind of synonyms.
