Research On Weihui Huaxin Yarn Factory During The Republic Of China(1920-1938)

In 1920,with the support of the Northern Industrial Group represented by Zhou Xuexi and Wang Xitong,Weihui Huaxin Yarn Factory was established in Weihui,Henan,and was affiliated with Huaxin Textile Textile Company.The establishment of a yarn mill in Weihui has many advantages,the increase in cotton yarn production profits is the first condition;the second is the rich cotton resources,coal energy and convenient railway and waterway transportation in the Weihui area;Once again,China is carrying out a campaign to boycott foreign goods and support domestic goods,which provides a broad market for domestically produced cotton yarns;and finally,the strong support of local officials and gentry.However,due to differences in site selection and personnel arrangements,there are disputes within the preparatory group.Eventually,with the support of Zhou Xuexi and Wang Xitong,the spinning mill was able to select sites for construction in Weihui.After the site selection was completed,the spinning mill immediately began the construction of hardware facilities such as land acquisition,equipment purchase and infrastructure construction.During the construction process,many forces such as Xinghua Capital Corp.supported the spinning mill.The spinning mill was completed and put into production in 1922,and gradually established a complete set of management,production and sales systems,and continuously improved and perfected in production practice.In the18 years of operation,the mill has basically maintained profitability and achieved certain results.The most important production factors of the spinning mill are workers.The recruitment,life,party organizations and trade union organizations of the workers reflect the life of the workers of that era.Weihui Huaxin Yarn Factory,as one of the famous industrial enterprises in Henan in modern times,has played a positive role in revitalizing the national industry in the region and resisting the invasion of foreign capitalism.A systematic historical inspection of Weihui Huaxin Yarn Factory,summing up historical experience and lessons,will undoubtedly have a certain reference significance for the development of contemporary Chinese industry.
