After two thousand years of research in the Book of Songs,confucian studies has always occupied the mainstream of the study of the Book of Songs,which resulted the literary essence of poetry were concealed and the value of literature and art not fully tapped.Although literary research has coexisted with confucian studies in the study history of the Book of Songs,its strength was weak,and the form and content of the literary criticism in the Book of Songs have not received enough attention.The commentary of the Book of Songs,which emerged during the Ming and Qing dynasties,is based on literary interpretation,and is an important critical phenomenon that cannot be ignored in the study history of the Book of Songs.The method and content of Comments on The Book of Songs appreciated poetriesfrom a variety of perspectives.Among them,there is a lot of exquisite exposition on the expression of“Xing”.The interpretation of “Xing” in the Book of Songs in the Ming and Qing dynasties includes connotation,function,and artistic effects.This has an indispensable and important role in improving the meaning of “Xing”,the Book of Songs,and thestudy of poetry theory.This article selects representative Comments on The Book of Songs from Ming and Qing dynasties,and analyzes the literary value of “Xing”mainly from the point of view of the critics' poetic thoughts.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part mainly sorts out the origin of “Xing” and the research situation of“Xing” in the Book of Songs since the pre-Qin dynasties.Briefly discuss the main characteristics of the study of “Xing” in each historical period since the pre-Qin Dynasty.Finally,I summarized on the basis of combing and summarizing,affirming the value of “Xing” research and exposing the problems and deficiencies of the previous “Xing” research.The second part focuses on the analysis of “Xing” on Comments on The Book of Songs in the Ming Dynasty.The background factors of late Ming commentary are briefly discussed.Three representative commentaries of the Book of Songs in the Ming Dynasty were selected for discussion: Sun Kuang's Pi Ping Shi Jing,Dai Jun'en's Du Feng Yi Ping,Chen Zushou's Shi Jing Fu Mo.Summarize the critics' poetic thoughts and literary manifestations,and then analyze the status and characteristics of “Xing”.Finally,the comparison of the appreciation and analysis of“Xing” in poetic of Ming Dynasty and the works of criticism are listed to highlight the development of the Comments on The Book of Songs to which stage.The third part focuses on the analysis of “Xing” on Comments on The Book of Songs in the Qing Dynasty.Firstly,the background factors of the commentary of the Comments on The Book of Songs are summarized.The representative Comments on The Book of Songs of the Qing Dynasty were selected for discussion: Niu Yunzhen's Shi Zhi,Chen Jikui's Du Feng Yi Bu,Yao Jiheng's Shi Jing Tong Lun and Fang Yurun's Shi Jing Yuan Shi.This paper focuses on the elucidation of the poetics thought of the Comments on the Book of songs and the embodiment of the artistic characteristics of “Xing”.In the analysis of the portic of the Qing Dynasty and the Comments on the Book of Songs,this paper summarizes the “Xing” characteristics of the Book of Songs.The fourth part summarizes the literary status of the study of “Xing” on Comments on The Book of Songs during the Ming and Qing dynasties.As a unique form of poetry criticism in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,Comments on The Book of Songs has important academic value,from the significance of expanding the “Xing”meaning,deepening the study of the Book of Songs,improving the theory of poetry,and enlightening and guiding creative practice.However,as one of the forms of literary criticism coexisting with Confucian classics,the development of the Comments on the Book of Songs still has limitations.The remnants of the Confucian classics in the Book of Poetry influence the development of the review;critics use their own poetic ideas to study the Book of Songs.There is inevitably a certainprejudice;as one of the elements of literary criticism,“Xing” is not the focus of all commentaries,so there will be little rough comment on “Xing”.
